I was able to go to Boise, Idaho to visit my grandma and two of my nieces were able to come with me(Taylor and Halle). We decided to go to Miss Tammy's Tea House for lunch. It is a cute little gift shop and eating establishment. It has a cute antigue feel about it. I believe the Red Hat Society meets there. I love it. Halle and Taylor were so excited about going there. We ordered drinks (water and sprite) and they wanted to get their drinks in Tea Cups.
I love spending time with the girls and my Grandma Robison. (I told her that she couldn't die this year because I can only lose one grandma per year). I would like to state for those that don't know about my grandma. She is a fiesty little lady (5 foot) and loves basketball (just like me). On her first date with my grandpa, he invited her to a basketball game because he knew she would love it. She shouted and taunted the players and refs.(so many things in common) We laughed that my grandpa was brave enough to keep asking her out. I am grateful he did.
In honor my grandmothers and my mom, I decided to include my favorite poem:
When I am Old I will wear Purple!
When I am an old woman,
I shall wear purple - -
With a red hat which doesn't go,
and doesn't suit me.
And I shall spend my pension
on brandy and summer gloves and satin sandles,
And say we've no money for butter.
I shall sit down on the pavement when I'm tired
and gobble up samples in shops
and press alarm bells
and run with my stick along public railings,
and make up for the sobriety of my youth.
I shall go out in my slippers in the rain
and pick flowers in other people's gardens
and learn to spit!
You can wear terrible shirts and grow more fat
and eat three pounds of sausages at ago,
or only bread and pickles for a week,
and hoard pens and pencils
and beermats and things in boxes.
But now we must have clothes that keep us dry,
and pay our rent
and not swear in the street,
and set a good example for the children.
We must have friends to dinner
and read the papers.
But maybe I ought to practice a little now?
So people who know me
are not too shocked and surprised
when suddenly I am old,
And start to wear purple!
