Reflections of the way life used to be ...

I do love that song. I was looking back through some photos. Four years ago, I was living in Bremerton, Washington. I was ending my career as the ward activities chair.

I was about to complete my third year of EFY and my first as a coordinator.

Took a family reunion trip to New York and was able to see Niagara Falls.

Three Years ago- I made a decision to go to graduate school and leave my teaching job. I had planned a senior trip to a Seattle Mariners game.

Hiked a 12 mile trip (2 miles in the snow) to Luke Warm Springs with a broken toe with some friends.

Did EFY a fourth year and 2nd year as a Cooridnator.

Took a Trip with good friends to the Oregon Coast.

Two years ago- I had finished one year of Graduate school and lived closer to family.
I said goodbye to both grandmothers.

Youngest sister was married and family photos were taken in NC.

Went to Australia

5th Year of EFY, 3rd as coordinator

Last year- I graduated with a Masters of Education and found a teaching job.

Ran a 5k with my sister

This year-Finished my first year with my new school (jr. high) teaching reading. Also coached basketball, volleyball, and track and field. This summer, I planned to visit friends and family. A trip down the west coast and a trip home to NC.

The Nevers

I have been reflecting lately about many things. It is funny, when you think about where you were 10 or 15 years ago and how you saw your future. Is it different than you thought? There were many nevers in my life:
-I never thought I would have a younger brother. (Can't imagine life without Andy)
-" " I would leave North Carolina.
-" " I would leave Washington State.
-" " I would find another great staff to work with
-" " I would live in Utah.
-" " I would go graduate school and earn my Master's Degree.
-" " I would work with at-risk students.
-" " I would teaching this long.
-" " I would have so many friends.
-" " I would have been single still.
-" " I would so happy with my life.
-" " I would be coaching basketball, volleyball, or track/field.
-" " I would have such a great relationship with my family.
-" " I would have been the last person to be single in my family or with my high school friends.
-" " I would want to be a writer.
-" " I would be teaching reading or english.
-" " I have been able to travel to Australia, Belize, and Europe.

I am sure there are many more, but you get the point.
