Well, getting ready for my sister's wedding has been fun. My family has gathered together. Colette is the youngest of the Seven of us, she is 25 years old. As the stress of the wedding and getting ready has taken its toll, I reflect on sibling relationships.
It is hard for sibling as adults to retrain themselves to how they respond to their siblings. We carry burdens, past experiences, and natural reactions and tendencies from our siblings. You have to reestablish your relationship with your siblings as adults. You can't react the way you used to. Your natural reactions to their reactions. You know how each of their buttons are pushed.
It is nice to know that these things take time and communication. I am impressed with my family, because we communicate although it may not be perfect, but definitely open.

I like your insights on this. It is very true. As all the siblings become adults the relationships change a bit. But with communication they can change for the better.
I loved this post and definately identified with it. With six siblings, there definitely has been some re-training and button pushing going on :) I hope EFY is a nice hopefully a little relaxing change of pace for you! Whew.
Gee Rachel,
Whatever can you be referring to? I find relationships with my siblings absolutely harmonious.
