I personally enjoy grocery shopping, my mother doesn't like, that is why I go with her, when I am home. It is fun to wander up and downs the aisles, mentally pretending that I can cook. I noticed something funny today about grocery shopping.
1st- never, never, never go when you are hungry-you seem to buy things that you normally don't buy.
2nd-unless you make a list of things to buy, you always buy more things than you intended and buy items you already have at home
3rd-after shopping this afternoon, I wanted to go out and get something for dinner. I was tired and worn out and didn't want to cook or make anything.
4th-I am picky about certain products. Some items, don't care if they are the cheap remake and other items, must be the real thing.
5th-I am so my father's daughter and grew up in the south. I love to talk to the cashiers. Sometimes, it freaks them out.

dude i'm so with you on all of them! I love going to the store! especially when we lived in VA and the grocery store was super walmart!!! i was in heaven! the good thing about up north in va was that food is a lot cheaper!!! i miss those days!
had to laugh about talking to the cashiers because we do that all the time and they all look at me like I am weird, but become Scott's best friend???? I'm not THAT weird! I guess he's more Southern than me...
That's funny! I always laugh when I go to Costco because I have a cart full of food yet I have to stop for a chicken bake because I'm hungry.
All very true Rachel. I worked at Food Lion for 4.5 years and I loved it when people would talk to me! I had my favorite regulars and it's very interesting how complete strangers will tell you their life story. Also I had one customer that even brought me home made brownies one time!! Lol. It was a grouchy old man that became my friend. I admit I was scared to eat them.
