Defying Gravity!

I bought tickets to see the play Wicked. It was my Christmas/Birthday present to myself this past year. My sister and I were able enjoy the amazing play.

I wore green in honor of the play.

We were three rows away from the stage. We could see them spit and sweat. I am in love with the music and overall theme of the story. It was great, great, great.

Sidenote: I do not recommend the book, it is crude compared to the play (from what I have heard)

Glad you enjoyed the show. I saw Wicked a few years ago, and LOVED it. I have heard the same about the book.

Did you read the book? I am just curious because I have always wanted to see the play but wondered how closely it followed the book- there are some parts that could/should probably be left out.

Fun! I started to read the book a year ago and stopped on the second chapter. Definitely crude. I thought it was such a shame because the idea of the book was so clever. I am so glad the play is much better!! :)

I struggled through the book and it was quite difficult to read and filled with some interesting themes. It is pretty racy and I didn't enjoy it.

Really heavy handed themes of politics and religion.
