Arrive in North Carolina safely and slept most of the way (I must have been tired.) Meet some fun people on the plane, arrive and greeted by some outrageously dressed sisters (many friendly comments of jealously). Created more havoc the next night picking up the rest of the family at the airport the next night. We all wore hats from my dad's collection.
Drove the next day to the beach, through a serious wind, rain, and thunderstorm. It turned out to be a tornado making weather and hit the Raleigh area. Enjoying being lazy, listening to kid happiness and unhappiness, kids wearing bathing suits for beach and pool. Sitting on the beach-reading a good book. Watching my brother-in-law body surf in the ocean (tied once to bury head in sand by force of water, left mark on face). Built a sand castle, etc..... Just relaxing and not controlling the chaos.
